This project is about American high school students understanding issues of cross-cultural communication and assimilation that affect international exchange students. The goal of the project is
to develop school cultures that are welcoming and understanding of exchange
students and capable of supporting them. American students will participate in interviews, discussions and a simulation. They will then facilitate the sharing of this information with their peers in other classes and formulate action plans to support exchange students. As a culminating activity students will help plan a celebratory "international student week".
